Joining the NYSID Emergency Notification system is voluntary.If you choose to join you will be notified by text message on your cellular phone and/or by email. By entering your Cellphone Email address as well as a conventional email address of your choice into our database, you will enable authorized school personnel to send messages to both. An example of a message would be 'School closed due to storm. Re-opens tomorrow'. Please note that some providers charge your account for text messages delivered to your phone. Messages can be sent to: - All registered Students - Faculty - Staff - Class participants (students and faculty) - Individual users. If you choose to join the system, please make sure to keep the information up to date.
